Nick Murphy is award-winning multimedia storyteller. He’s the co-host and producer of the web show 'Continue?,' which has almost 200,000 subscribers and over 48 million views. He co-wrote Disney’s Mickey & Friends: Escape from Noskape, an Audible Original audiobook. He also co-wrote the children’s comic book, Cosmic Pizza Party, a short story in Creepy Cafetorium, and writes for the Epic! Originals series Cat Ninja, Time Buddies, and Master Hamster Super Science. He co-hosts the podcast, Pretend Friends and edits video essays for Nerdstalgic. For 13 years, he was the director and video producer for the Preston and Steve Show on 93.3 WMMR, the #1 radio show in Philadelphia.
In 2023, he co-founded Breakdown Media, a boutique creative agency to help small businesses and nonprofits tell better stories through video, social, and smart branding. He has done creative work for The Make-A-Wish Foundation, Disney XD, Comcast/Xfinity, Dietz & Watson, Microsoft, Android, Ford, Best Buy, Capcom, G4, Corona Light, Budweiser, Taco Bell, Static Media, Looper, and Live Nation. He also worked for Gamervision, where his videos received over 6 million views on YouTube. His work has been featured on sites such as The Huffington Post, New York Magazine, IFC, /Film, Gawker, Joystiq, and The Sony Playstation Blog.
He's a graduate from the Film/Digital Video program at The University of the Arts. His film "The Bridge" won Best Drama & Best of the Fest at the Philadelphia Student Film Festival in 2009. "To Save Christmas" won Best Short at the 2016 First Glance Film Festival. In 2019, Nick directed a music video for Philadelphia artist, Pete Hill, was selected for The Philadelphia Independent Film Festival and Dances With Films. In 2022, he won an Excellence In Broadcasting award from The Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters for Outstanding Use of Digital Media.
Nick enjoys being colorblind, the 80s, time travel, Star Wars, repetition, 24 fps, and writing his bio in the third person. He currently lives in Philadelphia with his wife, artist Rebecca Chewning, and their awesome son, Desmond (who both enjoy not being colorblind).
